“Listen to the Voice that Likes You.”

I'm Rev. Glen Morton Ganaway — Your Favorite Anarchist Preacher.

In All Your Doings Be You Blessed

And now in all your doings be you blessed.
God turns to you for help to save the world.
Teacher of God, His thanks He offers you,
And all the world stands silent in the grace
You bring from Him. You are the Son He loves,
And it is given you to be the means
Through which His Voice is heard around the world,
To close all things of time; to end the sight
Of all things visible; and to undo
All things that change. Through you is ushered in
A world unseen, unheard, yet truly there.
Holy are you, and in your light the world
Reflects your holiness, for you are not
Alone and friendless. I give thanks for you,
And join your efforts on behalf of God,
Knowing they are on my behalf as well,
And for all those who walk to God with me.

AMEN

Glen considers himself a product of the military Industry Complex, The Deep South and the Southern Baptist Church. Today he identifies as an Anarchist.

Born in Anchorage, Alaska to a deeply religious family and raised in the gated communities of Navy bases, Glen was always the odd one out. Glen had few to know. He double lettered in Track and Gymnastics and was very involved in the school theater and coral groups He was the Youth Minister until coming out as homosexual.

The 80’s found Glen doing sex work and waiting tables to support a $90 a day injection habit. Glen cleaned up in the 90’s and joined the Radical Faeries, a Pagan Anarchistic group of Gender Queers. He moved to NYC to be with them and met the love of his life, Yolanda, an East Village singer-songwriter and performance artist. Together, they went to seminary and were ordained integral Mentor Certification and a B.S. in Healthcare Management. He lived in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn with Yolanda, a very fat cat, Gracey and tons of houseplants.

AWAKENING-TOGETHER.ORG

Glen facilitated one of the longest running A Course In Miracle (ACIM) groups in New York, meeting once a week for over ten years. With his partner Yolanda, Glen created “Church w/2 Drink Minimum — a Trans-tastic Interfaith, Interspiritual God-optional Celebration of Life” that welcomed all with open arms. These Celebrations occurred at 2 NYC cabaret clubs from 2014-2020. Sidewalk Cafe in the East Village, and Don’t Tell Mama in Midtown. COVID came in 2020 and the church moved online to the Awakening-Together.org Sanctuary where Glen also taught every Sunday evening.

Glen was a beacon of light in the Awakening Together Sanctuary, where he co-faciliated “The Mighty Companions” with Rev. Yolanda and “herein Lies the Peace of God” with Rev. Jacquelyn Eckert. His voice, energy, and unwavering commitment to community and spiritual growth touched the hearts of many. Glen’s teachings, rooted in Integral Theory, Anarchism, Permaculture, and Community Development, were a source of inspiration and wisdom.

Beyond his roles as a teacher and spiritual leader, Glen also served on Awakening-Together’s Broad of Directors, contributing his vision and passion to guide the community towards greater love and understanding. His leadership and counsel were invaluable, and his absence is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

As we mourn the loss of Glen, we also celebrate his life and the countless ways he enriched the lives of all he encountered. His legacy will continue to live on through the teachings he shared, the lives he touched, and the love he spread. Glen’s vision for a world grounded in peace, love, and understanding remains a guiding light for us all.

Glen’s passions included Integral Theory, Anarchism, Permaculture, and Community Development, and his 4.4 Arce Homestead in Windham, Vermont.
