Teachers of God;

Lesson 139

I will accept Atonement for myself.

Here is the end of choice. For here we come to a decision to accept ourselves as God created us. And what is choice except uncertainty of what we are? There is no doubt that is not rooted here. There is no question but reflects this one. There is no conflict that does not entail the single, simple question, "What am I?"

Yet who could ask this question except one who has refused to recognize himself? Only refusal to accept yourself could make the question seem to be sincere. The only thing that can be surely known by any living thing is what it is. From this one point of certainty, it looks on other things as certain as itself.

We're on to Chapter 13: The Guiltless World. This is the actual road we're on now. We're encountering ourselves and our old ways of doing things. We're learning about our strengths and practicing the principles. We're getting more confident and even have some real victories and leaps forward. The lessons are coming quick and easy. We're stepping into our own divinity, owning it and it doesn't feel quite as odd or oppressive as we thought it might. In a wonderful paradox as we become more and more unique, we become more and more whole and godly.

Explanation of Images: Each of us has learned to see things and form opinions and meaning from our experiences of the past. Or even just or memories of those experiences. We are learning to act on our true nature and to trust who we are and our talents. We also need to trust our own knowledge and the knowledge of a Guide. The Guide teaches us that we treat others how we view ourselves; with the immeasurable value or not. We each have a way of being that is to be celebrated and honored as we are honored by the Universe. The way ahead is known even if it’s not known by us right now. We will know what we need to know when we need to know it. We get to that understanding by the practice of authentically expressing and sharing our talents with others.
