Teachers of God,

Lesson 160

I am at home. Fear is the stranger here.

Fear is a stranger to the ways of love. Identify with fear, and you will be a stranger to yourself. And thus you are unknown to you. What is your Self remains an alien to the part of you which thinks that it is real, but different from yourself. Who could be sane in such a circumstance? Who but a madman could believe he is what he is not, and judge against himself?
We're in the second half of chapter 14: Teaching for Truth. We're waking the path with our Mighty Companions practicing the Truth! Today we're learning about our minds and the tapestries we weave with reality. We're learning to help ourselves and help others too. We're learning to see where we end and God begins. We're learning to see the world as it, not as we might like it.

Explanation of Images: We are learning to experience more and more of reality, this presence. Here and now is eternal, but we have the habit of bringing the past in, our thoughts about the future, and our endless opinions. This obscures what is real. We try to weave what we think into what is real and by doing so only the patterns we have made. The world is ordered just fine without our contribution. When we try to do this we’re actually calling for help. When others want to fit us into their pattern of the way things should be they are calling for help. We give of ourselves and respond with loving kindness as we would like to be seen as well. This unweaving is the miracle and is replaced by the Holy Spirit’s vision and we see only love, joy, peace and what is real.
